Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
WRD IT (“we”, “us”) is run by Jess Douglas in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).
What we collect
- Your poem answers — names, occasion, feelings and memories you type into the questionnaire, used only to write your poem.
- Your email address — when you download a poem, buy a digital product or create an account.
- Order and delivery details — recipient name and address, inside-card message and poem text for printed orders.
- Saved people — if you sign in and save someone's details, only you can see them.
- Reviews — your name and review if you choose to leave one.
How we use it
- To write, revise and deliver your poem and artwork.
- To print and post your card or frame through our print partner, Prodigi.
- To take payment (Shopify for printed orders, Stripe for digital purchases). We never see your full card details.
- To count free downloads per email address.
- To send you marketing emails only if you ticked the box to agree. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed with the services that help run WRD IT: Shopify (shop and checkout), Stripe (digital payments), Prodigi (printing and delivery), our website hosting provider, and an AI writing service that receives your questionnaire answers to draft the poem. We never sell your data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your basket and your poem in progress, and make checkout work. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes (normally six years). You can ask us to delete your saved people, account or marketing details at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how it is used, by emailing info@wrdit.com. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
